My Blog
Well... here are two hours of my life I'll never get back. Still better than nothing though. The lighter wrap tutorial I followed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfRw1L9SeQs (the hard part is fitting it to your lighter) So yeah, I've started making paracord bracelets and other stuffies from paracord. I've made a blog category for this new hobby. We'll see where it goes.
Have a nice day!

I 3d printed some vest buttons. They're quite practical, really easy to unbutton because of the tip on one end but they don't slip out because the wider other end locks them in place. The vest I got from a clothes-swapping event that took place last week. I also bought this cute figure of Yoda from a friend. Check out her blog you must, at HappyYarnJobs.blogspot.se. What else have I been doing since my last blog entry?
That's about it for this blog. Happy Easter!
Here's a generic blog update on... nothing in particular. Work is going great, we got a present from the 1980s delivered yesterday: The 3D printing is going rather well although the best 3D print I have seen thus far came from a resin-printer in the Karlstad makerspace of a Warhammer 40K Space Marine: I will be painting it at some point in the future in my own custom colours. Speaking of which. Sometimes I really do have too much time on my hands: A new jacket and scarf go a long way towards making a red and black style work well. Custom red shoelaces because why not. Another project I've been trying to get time for is to make some jewelry with 3D printed components. I was thinking some anchor bracelets to start out with: That's it for this blog entry, have a nice day!
Happy new year from Zveden! I hope the disaster that was 2016 will serve as a catalyst for improvement making 2017 a year of change and enlightenment! (although I wouldn't bet on it) Oh yeah, and the table is now done (#apartmentupgradeproject) The year has started off pretty good so far. I now have work at The Wood Region where I do 3D scanning, 3D printing and prototyping in wood-plastic materials. Fun stuff.
That's about it for now. Have a nice 2017!
Here is also a picture of the bus-ride home:
I visited another Makerspace yesterday, might even work there at some point in the future. They mainly work with bio-composite 3D printing and some PLA-based materials. Here are some examples of things printed with these materials: They are bringing in even more 3D printers and the goal appears to be being able to print products at any size and custom built specifically for that consumer. It's an interesting project and place to be for sure. I'm currently learning their machines and way of operating but maybe I'll joi... OH MY GOD, A MOTHERFLIPPIN' ROBOT ...ok while this isn't part of the 3D printing-project, she is just standing there in a half-abandoned production facility in the adjacent locales. This thing is freaking massive and I think is used to stack and move around planks.... maybe. Either way, she looks lonely.
That's about it for this blog. We'll see how this turns out. That robot though... Here's a quick update with some additions to the living room. The lamp is still being a pain in the neck because I can't ever seem to decide on when it's finished or how to finish it. These are my latest experiments using magnets: It makes it a lot easier to experiment with different covers and the ring acts as a perfect form to quickly shape new covers from other materials. Not finished yet though. I also finally finished the shelf. It currently has an assortment of various decorations on it ranging from souvenirs from Greece to The Three Musketeers, Swedish translation from 1919. Also, dragons: Finally the table stands but is still lacking a piece of glass: That's about it. Gotta find a way to make that piece of glass...
Yes, this project is still going. Just made this little lamp. It's attached to the wall with a magnet so you can use it as a torch when reading or just remove it altogether. Here is how the apartment looks at the moment: Doing some experiments with lamp v 2.0. Going for either cloth or coloured paper to give the apartment some red-ish mood-lighting: I was also recently at a restaurant and they had these awesome decorations in the window: That's not actually fire, just a smoke machine with a light underneath (I'm guessing) but the effect is surprisingly convincing. I would love one of those for my apartment. Depending on where I could get it and how much it would cost.
That's about it for this update. Expecting mostly everything to be assembled in the next update.
Here's a project I have been working on for a few days now. This is a house built from easy-to-assemble polystyrene blocks and wood panels. The idea came from a French company who also make these Pop-Up houses.
My client contacted these guys but it seemed they were busy so he then turned to me instead.
This was a rather fun project to work on. Now let's see whether it actually makes it into real life or not.
Also, here's a picture of a candle: Last Tuesday we went to Norway to try out some tricycles. There were tricycles with electromotors and regular recumbent bikes. We tried out all sorts but the red one in the photos was my favorite. |
