This one in particular took about 3 hours (with breaks). The other animations I've made weren't this advanced so they probably took from 5 min to half an hour.
I made this just for fun really but also practice. Any new skill is always welcome with me. This one in particular took about 3 hours (with breaks). The other animations I've made weren't this advanced so they probably took from 5 min to half an hour.

Here, I will give you a see-through of my favorite spacecraft, the M40 X pro Asteroid Class Explorer (or A.C.E). the 'ACE' Story: The M40 X pro Asteroid class Explorer (or A.C.E) is a highly advanced ship based upon the M20+ class Explorer. Both have the design of classic space shuttle with some differences. When the M20+ was first created by Japanese scientist Jovor Longs it was just used for deep space recon missions. But when the second version, the M20 X planet class explorer was released, it was then they saw the opportunities evolve. The M40 X was the third in this series to be made and it was still the same design but it had a better engine and more cargo capabilities. The M40 X pro Asteroid class explorer is therefore the fourth in the series and, as the name says, is exclusively created for asteroid exploration. It has thrusters strong enough for really sharp turns and its maneuvering capabilities are so good that , when flown by the right pilot, it can land on an asteroid in mid flight. Is has the same cargo capabilities as the M40 X but it has only got room for one pilot and one copilot. The training for being a qualified M40 X a.c.e pilot is one of the hardest, because this spacecraft unlike all the others has heavy weapons, the pilots and copilots both need to complete the weapons training for military fighter pilots. Even although these ships are very outdated they are still used for many things but new ones are not being made anymore. After the success of the M40 X many other ships were made, like the M40 X planet class explorer and the M50 X planet class explorer. Background: The actual background to the "ACE" is in fact very special. I created this spacecraft 3-4 years ago in LEGO but I never really used the design for anything until I started on a mod (modification of a game) about 1 year ago. Back then I had just learned how to model and my models weren't very good but I already had the basic design. It was also then I finally had a use for the name "Asteroid Class Explorer", since every game needs a good story I already had a head-start with the story I had created around the ACE. Shown here above, the history in the design of the ACE. The ? represents the 3rd model I hope to make some day that is even better than the 2nd. The image of the ACE is taken about 7 months ago, that was before I made the LEGO version in my 3d program. I spend nearly 7 hours on this model and it's quite an accurate representation: The original was a bit different than the model shown above, there was another mid-section which I later removed, you can see it on the picture on the left. These aren't the only variations on the M40 X pro ACE, while working on the ACE's design during the past months I made some variations, mainly in colors. These are some of the custom editions: 1. More powerful cockpit frame. 2. Polarized cockpit window. 3. The M45 X A.C.E Custom with improved engine system. Recently I have started on a game called SPACE 3102: ACE's Void. This is a complete remake of the mod with improved graphics and a complete single player campaign in first person perspective. Naturally, you play as an ACE-pilot. Your world get's invaded by an alien race called the Kohlar, also the enemy from the original game. Naturally you will hardly recognize the original M40 X pro ACE game in SPACE 3102 but you will recognize the ACE which I hope will be a returning factor in my future games. I will write more about the world of SPACE 3102 in further blogs and naturally keep you updated on the production of the game. So there is the story of the M40 X pro Asteroid Class Explorer. I just created this blog site as an extra to my website. I hope to post regular updates and previews of my work.
