The ship is a civilian passenger liner. With it's impressive length (over 130m) it is an expensive craft to keep in the sky. It services direct lines between Earth and Mars, among other planets.
I got the idea for building this ship from my own sci-fi universe I started a few years ago (Space 3000, but that's a completely different story). I have always enjoyed making ships of this type and with Interstellar Marines being my most looked forward to game at the moment, I figured I'd kill some time with this design.
