As for what I'm doing with this game/mapeditor, I'm modding it to give the game a more realistic feel. Also because it's actually quite easy. After modeling my custom mapmodels in TrueSpace, I export them to a nice little free program called Misfit Model 3D. In Misfit I make them the right size and, if necessary, animate them.
The maps I'll be using them in are naturally created in Cube 2, the program itself.
The model itself is 849 #ver which is about 1706 Tris.
